I describe myself as an optimist and a creative thinker, with a passion for learning about myself and others. I grew up in California, where I worked as a costume designer for live theater and opera companies in the Bay Area. I completed a BA in Anthropology at the University of Oregon, and went on to design museum exhibits and websites for small businesses.

I have emphasized creative expression in all of my career paths, and continued to do so as I earned an MEd in Educational Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin, where I focused on art therapy and the coming out process. If you are interested in this subject area, or want to read my article on art therapy and coming out, please follow this link.

I now provide mental health counseling and art therapy services to clients of all ages and backgrounds, with an emphasis on depression, anxiety, women's issues, self esteem, and self exploration.

I believe in each person’s inherent wisdom, and I am honored to participate in your process of self-discovery. In addition to the above, I have experience addressing a variety of issues, such as: addiction, mood disorders, anger, trauma and abuse, family instability, criminal behaviors, and academic / career exploration.
